Ok so like I'm in the market for the coolest bike helmet ever created. I want something that would make me look like I just stepped out of a stealth fighter or something.
I looked at the giro stuff (like the atmos) and while they look good.....just wasn't high tech enough for me. I did find one by a german helmet company called casco that caught my fancy (the casco vautron) but I can't find a U.S. distributer. In fact, I would prefer the product be from the USA if at all possible. But I am open to any suggestions from any company.
So...any suggestions? :|

Here's what a stealth figher helmet looks like.
And here's a helmet I found at nashbar.
I bet this is just what you were looking for.

It's a helmet; not many people are going to ooooh and ahhhh over your helmet. They're more apt to be staring at your lycra covered body or your shiny bike.
Get something that's certified and well ventilated. There are plenty of options out there that won't cost you an arm and a leg and look good. Whatever you do, make sure you try on the helmet before you buy it. A medium-sized Bell will fit differently than a medium-sized Giro because the helmets are of different shapes. I've found that Giro tends to be slightly more oval shaped and tends to cause presure points at my temples.

This is for alpine skiing. Good enough for 60mph downhills...

to be honest, a helmet is a helmet. some of the Limar ones look slick.
https://www.performancebike.com/shop/...egory_ID=4210#
this one has the carbon look.
https://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?c...eid=&pagename=
some of the Louis Garneau ones are kind of funky.
https://www.supergo.com/profile.cfm?L...06&referpage=#
I bought a Bell Alchera that was on sale for $37 ($48 off) at supergo the other day. next day they raised the price back up to $50.
edit: hmai18 kinda beat me to it.

This link is an excellent resource for helmets. Try those out if you're up to browsing around.

Rudy Project Synton SuperComp.
I'll probably be getting one of these pretty soon (after i get a new road helmet). Not that it is a huge advantage or i'm fast enough to need it, but its REALLY cheap - $117.00

The Casco Vautron is pretty hot ... I like the Sand/Matte combo and the Blue/Orange. Try these ones if you like the stealth look:

I dunno those looking cool. Personally I like carbon more than regular black for the "stealth" look. Dunno....I kinda like the black and silver casco vautron myself. But I also like these from this thread.......argh its so confusing!

But alas I'm having trouble finding a U.S. retailer. My best guess is to find a european dealer maybe from the UK that will ship it to the states. I'm busy looking for one this second...but argh sorry watching the rerun of stage 4 of TDF.
