Just once I'd like to see "Sprinter Boy" McEwen or Clydesdale rider Magnus Backstedt bringing up the rear an hour behind the winner of a mountain stage for a change, wouldn't you ?

Nah it's boring. Like they're all on a leisure ride. Many of them could probably finish much closer to the lead, but don't want to spend the energy.

Ah, but I used to love when they would show Richard Virenque at the back after he had clinched the KOM. He would pantomime kicking back and smoking a cigar while still riding down the road on his bike. That would crack me up everytime I'd see it.
