New Polar S150 question

Calling Polar bears . . .

i just bought a new S150 (like the S120, but with cycling features). This is the first HRM I've had. And I'm finding the owner's manual a bit opaque.

I've gone ahead and done all of the settings correctly (I think). I've set up three heart rate zones. When I go on a ride, however, I only get data to appear in one of them (Zone 1) when I go to the File.

What I'd like (if it's possible) is to have the HRM tell me time in each zone. What I'm getting is time in Zone 1, plus time above and below. Theoretically (or what I'd like to see), Time Above should show up in Zones 2 and 3. Is this possible? If not, how do I get the HRM to bypass Zone 1, and only pay attention to Zone 2 (figuring that time below would be zone 1 and time above would be zone 3)?

Thanks,

Gary

I have a F6 model or something. I get the exact same.

What i do is pick the zone i want to be in 1, 2, or 3, then when i start it, pick easy, medium, hard.

On mine, picking the 'hard' setting sets mine to 70-85% which i find best. Medium i use for recovery rides, easy i never use.

Mine also can be set to a manual heart rate zone, which i use when i want an area in somethign more specific.

I think you have to manually change the zones. ie, start working in Zone 1, & you can have countdown timer set to 20 min, then manually switch to Zone 2.

When you get done, it should show time in Zone 1, & time above & below; then time in Zone 2, & time above & below.

I had one for about a month, but sold it on ebay; seemed like a great little computer for the price, but when I bought it I understood it had cadence also.
