steel cages?

suggestions for what kind of steel cages? and where to get them? i broke a strap yesterday and i really dont like the plastic cages on the pedals. do nylon or non leather, say pvc straps hold up well?

Try your bike shop, if they don't carry steel cages or good quality toe straps then go to https://www.businesscycles.com/trcomp.htm. I use cheap nylon straps on the front of the toe and laminated leather straps on the back 'normal' position and have little fear of breaking a strap.
