Picture it, just off of Times Square, a bit after 7AM... dedicated commuter oboeguy steps out of the bagel shop with a muffin and a bottle of Gatorade Propel. He begins to unfold his trusty Dahon, having folded it not five minutes before to get into the crowded shop. He takes in the scene, deciding if he can make the next light to cross Times Square and what does he hear but the sound of a car door being smashed by a fast moving truck! Yes, my friends, a doorer today instead of taking out an unwitting cyclist today nearly killed himself with his own stupidity.

Feel pity for the owner of the car service car which got smashed, but hope along with your friend oboeguy that he sues the pants off door-man if door-man doesn't pony-up for his stupidity. The truck driver should suffer no ill -- it was some bullet-proof city department of sanitation or other truck.

I was going to work 3 weeks ago on a tuesday when some moron pulled out of his parking spot INTO a sanitation truck that was passing by. The truck tore the entire front end off the car. I mean, not only did this guy fail check to see if there were any cars coming up before pulling out, he completely missed the giant truck that was already passing him.

Sorry dude... that one went over my head for a sec. Didn't read Bikepacker67's post completely.... Had a coworker try and correct me the other day when I wrote 'intents and purposes'... he still swears black and blue that it's 'intensive'.

Very clueless... After I showed him the origins of the phrase and he still didn't believe me, I gave up. Not sure if English is his first language. He's from Texas.
