Free bikes and other junk in the Boston area
-
I just read this announcement in the local paper. I have no idea what kind of free bikes they have, but I thought folks might want to know about it.

Bostonians are funny in their view of the world. Anything beyond Rt 128 is considered far from the Boston metro area. Beyond Rt 495 you're out in the "sticks". Don't get me wrong, I love central and western MA. I went to school out in Amherst and will probably settle out that way. I'm just describing the mentality of the typical Bostonian, which is pretty sad sometimes.
As for the bikes at this "free" sale, I suspect that they'd be kids bikes or old beaters. Might not hurt to pick one up for wintertime use.
