Sept. 3 - Birthday Ride

OK, guys! Tomorrow is it - a 65 mile ride on my 65th birthday. I'm looking forward to riding with all you 'virtual' riders and will be thinking about you as I go. Everyone stay safe and I look forward to hearing about your ride. If you're inclined, post a picture of yourself and I'll do the same.

Have FUN!

Lookinup

I'm heading up the hills in Denver here to do some mountain biking with friends. I'll try to take a pic.
Have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY and I'll be thinking of you and the virtual ride.

Enjoy--enjoy!! It is too smokey here --I think the Hell's Canyon wildfire smoke has made it up the valley--bad air quality for riding--so somebody ride for me!!

I am on holiday tomorrow for a week, but I did a ride for this a couple of weeks ago. I am really sorry that I will not be doing the ride with you, but I will be thinking of all of you out there showing how fit you are to all the 20 year olds that can't do their age.

Good luck to all of you

I can't do it tomorrow, but I plan on putting in more than enough miles on Monday. Does that count? And HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Moderate weather (which means low 90's here) and light breezes...should be a good time. One road I'm taking (Old Sonora) had 5 foot rattler sunning himself a few years ago........riding widely around him I was glad I didn't get a "snake-bite" harhar. We'll swap stories tomorrow afternoon. BTW....Happy Birthday lookinUp!! (I never knew you were a (gulp) girl until a short time ago!) 8-)

I was going to delay it as well as the weather has been toooooooooo hot, but it's expected to cool down tomorrow and especially Sunday, so it's a definite birthday bash for lookinUp.

Funny thing is that I'm committed to a relatively short ride in the morning and a Labor Day picnic in the late afternoon.

But, after the two rides, I can eat away at the picnic like a pig!!!

Happy Birthday!!!

Good luck LookinUp! I'll be thinking about you -- knowing you're going to do fine. Can't wait to hear all about it!

But if you did your "birthday ride," you'd be cutting it to about 23 miles. Isn't that right?
