Floor Pump Wearout (newbie question!)
Hi,
I've used our plastic floor pump (top dog) for some continuous pumping projects, and have found the friction dries the o-ring at the bottom of the plunger, which seems to then flake enough to have the small bits get into the clog the manifold and air tube. Or maybe some other internal parts are melting with the heat. The net result is either (1) it becomes hard then impossible to pump or (2) I can pump but no air moves through the air tube. It's worse when it's hot (weather) or I'm pumping very fast. Any recommendations on how to prevent or, at least, mimimize the frequency of this problem?
Or, can you recommend one or more of the better floor pumps who are so well designed this doesn't happen?
