25.0mm Seatpost Options?
Well, it's time for me to get a new seatpost. The problem is that my frame is a late 70'd Liotto, and it takes a 25.0mm seatpost. I'm having trouble finding one with a clamp at a decent price. Thompson makes one, but that's going to cost me around $90 which seems like a lot. Also, I need one longer than the standard 250mm, that doesn't give me enough purchace into the seat tube. To top it all off, if I can find one with a bit of setback, that would be even better. If anyone knows where I might be able to find such an object, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
jp

I've seen at Nashbar, American classic 25.0 for about $40, but it is probably 250mm.
I've seen USE ALien posts but titanium or carbon at $130-140 but again out of your budget.
Since its an old bike, if you have the type that can transfer the whole clamp :
Pyramid Alloy Seatpost, 25.0mm. No Clamp. Length: 350mm $10.99

your LBS may be able to order one. i picked up a 350mm 25.0mm Kalloy seatpost at my LBS for only $20. Not much of bling factor but it does have 20mm of setback and it does the job.

I had a similar problem when I was replacing the seatpost on a late 80's Benotto. I ended up talking to the folks at Lickton bike in Chicago. I had done business with them before and had been pleased with their performance and attitude. THey sold me a nice aluminum alloy seat post for less than $20. Check them out: https://www.lickbike.com/

go to www.biketoolsetc.com. They have many, 14.99 with setback, black, silver, long, short. You won't find one much cheaper than that.
