BFFG MNG Redux (thread II)
The other one was getting a little bogged down with tales o' sixshooters, tacos n' tequilas and breakin' the law.
Too cluttered for the dissemination of information.
New website: https://bffg.absenter.org
Special charity raffle: Under the Weather messenger bag - proceeds benefit the BMEF (Bike Messenger Emergency Fund).
Lots o' other prizes for winners others alike.
Check in on the site for more on the sponsors (take a lot at what they have - a click or two never hurt) and see what's going on this upcoming weekend and where you need to be.

crap.
we dc folk are superexcited to ride a track, but need to make it back to town in time to work Monday. We have to leave no later than 3pm, ideally a little earlier. it's a good 14 hour drive, and we can't chance it, with 10 workers in the cars that have 10 bosses to deal with.
would folks be willing to push up the velodrome events to allow us to participate?
please?
pretty please?

We probaly could. Sunday is sort of a miscellaneous day really.
My take on it is that those who want to ride the track are all probably leaving early so maybe some could go earlier instead and skip Chinatown.
The other thing is the condition of many on Sunday morning.
The main day is Saturday and those events.
Sunday will be a play it by ear kind of day.

Better yet, just roll the activites from Saturday night directly into Sunday's breakfast then head to the track. I'm sure a train ride will feel really good for some
+1 for earlier track.

+1 for earlier track.

Noted. We've been watching the weather a lot. With Chicago though, it's pretty unpredictable. It can literally change in hours. Forecasts are more like guidelines, but not a golden rule here. Maybe to our (particular) advantage.
I'm hoping that it clears up for Sunday as well.

As posted in the other thread by teadoggg:
Special charity raffle: Under the Weather messenger bag - proceeds benefit the BMEF (Bike Messenger Emergency Fund).
Tickets are $3 each, with no limit on the number you can purchase.
Common, it's a raffle, you know how this works.
ANYWAY, 100% of the proceeds are being donated to the Bike Messenger
Emergency Fund.
So far, [165] is dropping $60, and I'm good for $20. Even my parents are donating.
Cough it up people - I know you guys have already put in a good bit of
money into the Meat & Greet, but this is a chance to replay the good
deeds that people may have already done for you. The raffle will be
held this Saturday (the 12th). If anyone needs to do an "absentee"
thing, contact me and I'll work it out.

I was really hoping to be able to come. However, at the moment it is looking like I am going to have no rear wheel this weekend. Although I supposed I could be really uncool and bring a geared bike.
