anyone have an ENO eccentric hub?
has anyone had any experience with the ENO eccentric hubs? especially on a SS mountain bike. they seem like a great idea for a conversion, not having to have a tensioner, but i'm wondering how they will hold up... i wonder if the hub would rotate if you go off a drop, loosening the chain? i've read several sites about them, but i've yet to find any "reviews"

I love mine. I don't hit any drops with it, being that it was used to fix a road bike, but its been pretty good to me soo far.

yeah i've heard great things (in the forums and elsewhere) about them on road frames, but haven't found much on mtb frames, other than people have been using them.
i'm just concerned that jumping a log or taking a 2' drop or so, nothing crazy but still might be done, would twist the setup? i guess we'll see...

If that won't work for ya, I have a surly-singulater i'd be willing to get rid of for next to nothing (I only have the down pressure spring for it though).

I'm running my mountain bike fixed with one and love it. It takes a beating and still works fine. I also change the cog, put skinny tire on and use it for 'cross racing. I did have a problem with a bolt stripping the axel but White Ind. sent me out a new axel and bolt right away with only one email from me.
Go for it, but run your mountain bike fixed, it's much more fun.
