I don't get it. The front wheels are too close together to add any stability, so all the extra wheel does is add weight. Stooopid (IMHO).

But look at the way the 2 wheels bank together into that corner...I'd imagine you lean pretty hard into a corner at speed, then slam on those disc brakes (in the rain) and not worry about your front end washing-out from under you!

My understanding is that if you slam on those disk brakes the front end WILL wash out from under you...but I would love to try.
