Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

other than current supply and demand issues that make track framesets go for more than road, i don't see any reason why one should cost more than another, per se. someone might prefer road geometry and horizontal dropouts and still want to ride fixed gear. i tend to prefer track frames and all that jazz like most of us here, but i am not under some illusion that they are necessarily superior or more deserving of high prices than more traditional road framesets. it just so happens that track **** is extremely popular these days.

parts are worth at least a grand, plus it's ready to ride; pull it out of the box and you're set.

not a screaming deal, but not a rip-off either imho.

yeah, sure, something in that range. nice parts, and it looks well taken care of, but it's also used and depreciated a bit. at least that's how i see it.
