i imagine they keep the spray off your person, but it would still get on your feet and drivetrain.

I prefer my fender. It'll keep alot more junk off of you.

True, and I wish it were a simple matter to fit one on my C-dale headshock. In lieu of such fuss I use Zefal's version and it's better than nothing.
