Just retired

Well, she has run her last race and is now officialy retired from racing. Now she is a compleatly different bike. Just put on a '03 Zoch Z1 Freeride, XTR derailers, XT Octalink cranks(my god I forgot how wunderful a granny is on long steep climbs) and a longer seat post. She will still geat used and abused but mainly as a freeride/xc bike. We put in many hard hours of racing together and she never failed me. Big drops, long doubles, steep rocky terain, slick mud, deep sand and some very hard crashes, she handled them all like a pro. To her I raise my glass and applaud, slainte my friend

Cheers cheers. Another Kona lives to retirement.

Ever think of applying for a kona sponsorship. You seem to love them ...

I know that feeling. After 3 faithful years on my trek 7000, it was finally time to retire her. God I loved the 8spd drivetrain, no hassels like this nine speed.

With any luck my stumpy comp (fsr) will serve me at least 5 good years, and yeah, I have already racked up some classic crashes that include sand, rock, and ruts.

Bikes are the best, never ask for anything, except for a little oil.

Of corse. Lots of Guiness and Gameldansk. Great food and a long relaxing ride.
