Quick question...purely hypothetical...Why would someone with a $150 saddle (like the Toupe) or a $200 saddle (like the Arione) or a $250 saddle (like the Aliante) want to trade for a $75 saddle (like the B17, Concor, or Flite...just the ones on this page)?
I'm not sure there's much incentive to actually make that trade.

I traded an Arione straight up for a Flite last year because I hated the Arione so much. Who knows, who cares as long as the two parties reach an agreement. A $70 difference means nothing to me if I hate the saddle. You can bet that if I pick up a Toupe and don't like it, I'll trade right back for a Flite.

I have a Gel Toupe 143, black and gray looking for a 130 preferably black as well (black and red would be nice).
An Ebay seller badly advertised the item and doesn't want to refund me the amount of the item + the return shipping cost so I wont pay for his mistake.
Edit: to be clear, he sent me a 143mm instead of 130mm. Also the saddle is brand new.

I am looking for a weathered Brooks leather saddle, preferrably model 135 or similar with the big vertical circle spring in front and coil springs at rear. Other makes (pope, ideale, etc) are fine but leather only, please , no cheap vinyl seats or other maker's logos (this is going on a Columbia).
Ideally it should not be torn or damaged but it doesn't have to be perfect; it is for an old WWI era bike in a historic display, so it won't be ridden. A nice patina would be best as it will blend into the old look of the bike (it is not an "as-new" restoration)
I have some good newer lightweight saddles to trade; ca. 2002 orange Sella italia turbo flite, mid 1980s suede San Marco Concour, early 90s Selle Italia Missy Giove Nitrox, mint San Marco Rolls
