Crank Brothers 50/50 Pedals
Hi Guys,
To be honest at the moment I'm giving up on clipless (and I'm not changing my mind), basically because I haven't been riding for the last couple of years, and I don't think I need the added hassle of learning clipless while still trying to regain skills I lost a while ago. I've been out a few times recently, and I'm really not confident riding, simply because I don't think I'll unclip in time. I've already come off a couple of times
I'll probably give them another go in a year or 2 when I feel more comfortable on the bike....
Now that's off my chest (feel free to call me stupid/lazy etc) has anyone used the new Crank Brothers 50/50 Pedals? They look pretty beefy, and aren't overly expensive.
Is it worth forking out for the XX models over the X? Is there any other platform pedals I should look into?
Cheers,
Chris

I have the 5050x, basically if you know how you can clean and regrease the bearings on the 5050x and not pay the extra for the xx. I love em, they are big though if thats what you like.

I've got the XX on mine. Sealed bearings compared to the other one. It comes with a set of red plates and longer pins. I love mine! They are surprisingly sticky even with the shorter pins.....
PS. I like your bike! (looky mine!)

I can't wait til it's Spring again here in the northeast. I'm gonna grab a pair of the XX's in black/gold. What do you guys think about the CrankBros. Cobalt cranks? I have to buy a new crankset as well and was looking at the Holzfellers with GigaPipe Team DH Combo for 169.99 on pricepoint.
