Beater in london
Hey I just got into London today and was really missing my bike (which I could not bring). Does anyone know where I could get a beater bike to borrow or buy? Then again maybe I should just walk...your roads scare me.

I was living in London for several months last year. I didn't have much luck finding a cheap bike; there is a recycled bike shop at Elephant & Castle but they were very overpriced. They wanted a hundred quid for bikes I would value at £10.
I finally ended up buying a road bike on ebay and taking a train to Bedford to pick it up. It was far cheaper that way. You could also check out https://www.gumtree.com which has some classifieds.
