It looks hard to ride. Didn't the seat extension have heaps of duct tape around it?

Bender is ********. He needs to use his brain instead of skull. "Gotta go big man, gotta go big".

That bike looks ******** too, WAY too much travel in the front.

It really annoys the heck out of me when people go out and makes these claims. Have you ever met the guy, do you realise the impact Bender had on the freeriding discipline? If he wasn't around, do you have any idea how far back the industry would be without Bender? Calling someone who had a major influence on the realm of freeriding ******** is ********.

There were freeriders before Bender. Freeride would still be the way it is now. The only thing he's done(which hasn't 'evolved' the sport in any way) is basically try to copy freeride skiing on a bike to get attention. Compare him to other freeriders, his form is terrible, he doesn't make most of his drops, and when he does it looks like crap. Anyone with half a brain can fall off a cliff.

So he attempted the worlds largest drop? HE DIDN'T MAKE IT and nearly killed himself doing it. He clearly didn't think it out, because the landing looked like SAND from what I saw. He nearly killed himself at redbull rampage, and recently broke some vertebra. Real freeriders think, they don't just do.

Have you?

REAL freeriders that have influenced freeride are : Tomas Vanderham, Richie Schley,Robbie Bourdon, Darren Berrecloth, and Dave Watson.

You don't have to have done a 30+ foot drop to respect Bender.

You do have to do one before you criticize him without sounding like a ******.

It's not whether he has or not, nor if I have or not, it's his mentality. He's all balls and no brains.

I think he knows what he's doing, he probably weighs up his chances before dropping. Has he died on any of the drops? No, some did go wrong and fractured vertebrae are serious but you can't be 100% sure that you'll land a drop. Those drops are much harder and bigger, hence the smaller chance of success, yet he still makes many.

Look at the crank arms on his bike! Other than that, I want it.

Jason222, stop looking for a fight, quit now otherwise you're going to get blasted..just a warning.

People think that because they have the "balls to the wall" mentality people are going to respect them and hold them high on a pedestal. But really they are taking chances with their life and by sheer luck haven't killed themselves yet. Im just making a very general statement, I really don't know the guy a whole lot so I don't know if this is the case.

Not in my book. Bender doesn't have a reputation for actually landing anything. He can't land a 40 foot drop, but you admire him for trying a 50 foot one?

Ill admire him for being stupid enough to throw his life around like it means nothing. But I wont admire him for his skill or biking achievements.
