It really annoys the heck out of me when people go out and makes these claims. Have you ever met the guy, do you realise the impact Bender had on the freeriding discipline? If he wasn't around, do you have any idea how far back the industry would be without Bender? Calling someone who had a major influence on the realm of freeriding ******** is ********.

that's a stupid claim. He isn't rtarded at all, Kona got to it beofre i did, he has had a HUGE impact and now he goes big. he was doing **** before anyone else. Have you ever done a 30+ft drop. I doubt it. He's an innovator so lay off the guy

There were freeriders before Bender. Freeride would still be the way it is now. The only thing he's done(which hasn't 'evolved' the sport in any way) is basically try to copy freeride skiing on a bike to get attention. Compare him to other freeriders, his form is terrible, he doesn't make most of his drops, and when he does it looks like crap. Anyone with half a brain can fall off a cliff.

So he attempted the worlds largest drop? HE DIDN'T MAKE IT and nearly killed himself doing it. He clearly didn't think it out, because the landing looked like SAND from what I saw. He nearly killed himself at redbull rampage, and recently broke some vertebra. Real freeriders think, they don't just do.

I think he knows what he's doing, he probably weighs up his chances before dropping. Has he died on any of the drops? No, some did go wrong and fractured vertebrae are serious but you can't be 100% sure that you'll land a drop. Those drops are much harder and bigger, hence the smaller chance of success, yet he still makes many.

People think that because they have the "balls to the wall" mentality people are going to respect them and hold them high on a pedestal. But really they are taking chances with their life and by sheer luck haven't killed themselves yet. Im just making a very general statement, I really don't know the guy a whole lot so I don't know if this is the case.

but i do give him the credit(i think)he deserves for actually attempting it. i just dont think you should bad mouth the guy just becasue he goes big. the not landing thing, yea he doesnt land alot, and he looks like a mess when he does. il agree with you totally on that.
