Long front brake bolt
I putting together my new bike and I discovered the front brake nut is too short to fit through my carbon fiber fork. I have Campy Record brakes. I looked in the specs and found out that Campy makes a longer nut. The part number is BR-RE427. Can anyone tell me where I can get one? For now I bought a longer one but it's a cheap steel one. I would like to get an original Campy titanium one.

There is a phone # and email link for him on that page. If anyone can help you, it's him.

Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!
Check your LBS as they are likely to have these in stock. Many carbon forks have thicker crowns than steel forks and require a longer brake mounting nut. Dealers are used to the problem when the do upgrades.
My Kestrel EMS Pro fork came with the longer nut and explicit instructions that it had to be used.

I ask my LBS about getting a Campy nut. They called the Campy rep and he never had anyone ask for that part before. I guess they use the steel problem solvers to put their bike together.
