(N)ice Cold Water
That's what I had when I got to work today.
When I was storing my bike, I got my bottle out of my cage to take to my desk. As I raised it to my lips I realized that most of the upper part of the bottle had started to freeze. Needless to say it was nice and refreshing after my ride, even though I was freezing.
Anyone else get this regularly?
This is my first time for this being in Texas and all.

I fill mine with warm water, sometimes hot when I start out.
Still freezes by the time I get to work.... Except this year!
We have had only one week of sub zero weather. But it is about to change I am afraid.

Happens a lot in the winter. Today I had frozen fog. It's not that bad, but having ice form on your glasses and the road makes it hard to see and very slick.

I probably would, except my commute is only 4.5 miles and I wear a mask to keep my face warm... so if it's cold enough for the mask, I just go without water (since I'd have to remove the mask to drink).

Yes, it's happened to me. I've been taking Accelerade instead of water for non-trivial rides lately (i.e. heading out for a couple of laps around Central Park -- no commuting lately). I think that helps keep the freeze away.

If your cages/bottles allow, store your bottle upside down. This will help elimiate the freeze up around the nozzle.

I have to wait until I get to work, change clothes and then hit the breakroom and its excellent ice machine. Commuting in South Florida is fraught with such inconveniences in winter.

Yes, in fact it got so bad I just stopped carrying water on my ride. It's only 11 miles, I have gotten to the point where I can do the whole ride and not even feel thirsty at the other end; last night I didn't get around to having a drink for another half hour after getting home.
Last winter was a lot colder, often 0*F or below, and even a hot gatorade mix in a polar bottle was freezing solid halfway through the ride, so I gave up.

For the winter, I just don't worry about a drink until I get to home/work. My ride only last about 45 min.
