Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

covet thy neighbor

I got an all-office email at work yesterday-- "Who rode their bike here--the one gear trainer by the mesquite trees?"

So I reply saying "me!" and figured someone had hit it with their car, or it was blocking something.

Today I get an email asking if I'd consider selling my fixie. "It's exactly what I'm looking for! Seriously!" So I sent the dude a link to Sheldon's site on conversions.
