So I solved the noise prob by taking the bike to the LBS. They ended up replacing the rotors, and the noise was fixed. Well, I cleaned them with some denatured alc after a ride, adjusted the pads to my liking, now they squeak again. Weird thing is, they'll squeak for the first few times applying the breaks, then not squeak. Now, does anyone know what the hell is going on? Does it have to do with my pad positioning? How should they be set? Thanks for any feedback.

After searching and reading extensively on this topic, I've come to the conclusion that there is no surefire way of eliminating brake squeak. I use Avid Juicy Sevens and BB7's on my sister's bike. I find squeaking is no big deal anyway, as long as it's not the real serious kind. If you do get the real serious kind (where you can feel your bike vibrating), then I found that rubbing alcohol always does the trick.

i agree. there is no set way to eliminate brake noise. disc brakes make noise, and thats that. however, cleaning the rotor with rubbing alcohol may help
