Rim/tire question

Can I use a tire that has for HB 575 rim written on it on my mavic 223 rims which are labeld 559?

the 559 fits 26*1 thru 26*2.3, the tires are 26*1.5 so if I'm reading the chart correctly the tires are within the size range. The chart doesn't have anything for 575. Does this matter? I put them on and inflated them to 50psi and so far they are holding but I havn't gone for a ride yet. If it stops raining I'll try it out tomorrow.

Well if they fit then they fit. I think that the "575" was a red herring so therefore the answer you got.

If the tires realy were ISO 575 there is NO way they would mount on a ISO 559 rim.
