I just bought some Rapha's because I'm tired of replacing $30 dollar gloves every 4 months.

Prolly another week until they get here - but when they do - I'll let you know how they feel.

I have the jacket. Great for really cold/rain. It is my mainstay for commuting six month of the year. Doesn't breathe well enough from May-September though, but that is what vests or wool are for anyway, and now they do make a lightweight version, and a rain slicker too...They make real high quality, well engineered stuff.

Oh, and I just bought a pair of Specialized "deflect" gloves that I really like. Great for the East Coast weather we're having now.

I know what you mean I bought a pair of "Pearl Izumi GEL-lite" gloves a couple months back, they seemed pretty nice when I first got them, but those thing startes falling apart pretty quickly. Now (only about 3 or 4 months later) they look like I stole 'em off a hobo.

I'm looking forward to your review. I've been wanting a pair of the Grand Tour goves for a long time, but could never pull the trigger. I think I'm ready now, with the new frame due in about 3 months.

Don't buy Cannondale's 3-Season glove; nice palm grip and padding, but have started to fall apart after 2 months. Also I don't know what the 3rd season is as they're not very wind/cold resistant for the winter and too thick for the summer.

i really like my pearl izumi gel-lites. they're lightly padded, super comfy and keep your hands cool.

Menard's has a great set of tight-fitting leather/nylon stretchy stuff "outdoor work gloves" that are cut at the knuckles and work just as well as any $30 bike gloves for $6

odyssey bmx gloves. warm and they have good grip and padding. i've been riding my fixed gear and my bmx with these gloves and they've lasted 2 years.

Re-Cycle

get some $6 performance gloves and take them back every time they fall apart. They will do it.

I was using these Harbinger wrist wrap weight training gloves for a while. they were very tough, comefortable, and provided excelent wrist support. The only problem, is that they didn't breath at all, so my hands smelled like feet at the end of a ride.
