Bianchi San Jose fixed conversion
This biek looks cool. I know it comes as a single speed but not fixed. Anyone know about converting it? Anyone know anything about this bike? Anyone care?

It is a SS track frame. You don't have to convert isht. If the hub is free/fixed then just flip it over. If not get a cheap track wheel.

There's been threads about it, do use the search. Personally, I don't care for it much. Seems like a good option for those who don't like the aggressive track position. Too bad it doesn't come with a flip-flop.

A cool shop might be friendly to a wheel upgrade at the time of purchase.

It does not come with a flip flop hub, unfortunately, but I've got a set of hubs on order (supposed to be here today!), so I should be running fixed within a week.
I'll let you know how it goes.

I know. And I prefer track geometry, yay me. I'm not saying the San Jose is worse than the Pista, just that its another option for the same price that the OP might not have noticed, thats all.

the worst thing about bikes like that, in my opinion, is road drops and riser stems. ugly and a pain in the ass. easily foxed, though.

hmmm, i thought you meant typing "foxed" instead of "fixed". i dunno, threadless isn't choice, but i just don't like the riding angle you get off of a riser stem. but yeah, threadless in general isn't pretty. sucks i have one.
as far as the road drops, i don't like the look as much as track drops, but the hand positions also don't suit me unless there are brake hoods to use.

but it's threadless
just flip it over and it's no longer a "riser" stem
