Kevlar beaded road tyres develop an "S"
On my road bike I have been using Vittoria Courier Clinchers for several sets and am happy.
Today after a ride i was riding slowly home and suddenly noticed a "bump" in the ride and lo and behold the tyre has a slight "S" in one part of the tyre but enough to make it rub. I had put in my normal 100psi in the morning after changing the tube as the valve was leaking. One of the guys said I must of rode through some diesel?
Anyone seen this before?
I just had a thought, could my floor pump gauge be really offf?

an 's'? if there is a bulge on the tire, you might want to check and make sure the bead is not coming out of the rim in this area, which would create a bulge, probably because the tube is not fully inside the tire, and it pushing against the wires... but I'm not exactly sure what you mean by 's'

I sometimes get this on normal beaded tyres, when the bead doesn't fit evenly all the way round. The low spot causes a distinct wobble
