New Biker
Hey im a new mountain biking. I like to cross country race and go fast in the woods im not sure what bike to get though. I was think the Trek 4900, Trek 6500, Trek Fuel 70, Gary Fisher Piranha, or Gary Fisher Tassajara. Are these good one for cross country? im also on a budget kinda.

Great bikes for what you need to do. I'd suggest the Fuel 70 or trek 6500. What's your budget?

Would this work
I was wondering if the Gary Fisher Mullet would work for a lot of cross country riding. I like the Trek Fuel 70 for full suspention but its pricy i think ill go with the Trek 6500 though.

The Trek 6500 is a nice bike except for the fork which I don't like at all but he frame is definitely top notch and its light & strong.
