hey i dont do it but no it shouldnt, unless u miss and get it stuck in your frame or grind the rest on ur frame or summin. other than that its cool!

Your chainstays are almost guaranteed to get beat to hell and back on pedal feebles and 50-50s.

Only the same amount you would if you run pegs, atleast with 50-50s. Drive side febels coudl be nasty unless you know how to do them real nice.

Speaking of pedal grinds, I just put my pegs on again after being pegless for 2 years, and it is SO different doing pedal grinds compared to double pegs. Double pegs seem so much lower, and not as smooth. I only run pegs, so I can icepick, and febel on ledges, rails. But on 1/4s I still use my pedals because it's smoother and easier I think.

I felt liek telling a story, so get over it.

Yes. It just won't be as smooth, and you'll look like a complete jackass when you scrape up the 'crete at the skatepark.

Most skatepark riders no longer do pedal grinds, as it really tears up the ramps/pools. I know at some places, the locals will ask you to stop or leave if you're pedal grinding a lot. Do what you want, but honestly try not to f-up the ramps when you do it, cool?

How exactly would a pedal grind mess up the coping? Coping is generally steel, and pedals are either aluminum (the same material used in skateboard trucks) or magnesium (which is softer). Pool coping is another matter, but the park designers/builders took the cheap route if pedal grinds are tearing the park up.

It doesn't usually tear up the coping, rather the deck and also the concrete on pools. And in a lot of pedals, the pins are steel, sometimes hardened. This will tear up mild steel coping, and some of the ramps don't even have steel coping on them, either. Maybe it isn't an issue where you are, but here I've seen guys get asked not to pedal grind anymore. Maybe what I saw was a fluke, and not common. I was just trying to be helpful.

And that's why you remove the pins on the grind side of your pedal.
