Latest news is that Pantani could not live with the requirement that the proposed merged team (Acqua/Mercatone) levied regarding his self-promotional efforts. He insisted on retaining control of his publicity efforts.

Probably a good idea on his part, as that is about all that he can use to make money these days. People apparently still buy his posters, etc. Racing certainly doesn't look like a viable option for income any more.

Too bad, those two deserve each other.

Hey Fubar5 are you sure about the fact that since aqua is pulling out, I'm not questioning you on that, but I am wondering if it's for sure that the team kit will still be the same design, with the obviouse exception being the names of the sponsors will change......I thought that he would keep the same color's and just change sponsors..


I guess we'll see probably later in January, when it's offically announced..
