Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? minneapolis: GRUMPY GIRL RIDE : 2nd annual

Hey girls and boys, it's that time again.
The date has been set: Saturday, May 27th.
high noon.
starting point, route details, and, best of all,
BOY ATTIRE...
to be announced.

Last year set the stage for our previous 12 months of riding and debauchery in this icy tundra we call home. Friends were made, bikes were wrecked, teeth were broken, whiskey, beer, and our new best friend sparks have been drank, we have been drunk, and best of all, we've rode our bikes. A lot.

In the meantime, let's talk. We're pretty sure we've got a plan up our sleeves, but if you have any suggestions or ideas, we wanna hear it.

Buy us a beer and a shot of whiskey while yer talkin' and we might even start to think your ideas are good ones.

Photos soon....

GO!

Exactly what I was thinking. Funny, I just posted that same comment on that thread, but I truly hate flying. A drive-away car would'nt be so bad..........

Girls can do what they want. Boys have a dress code.
And boys cannot lead the ride other they will be derby'd to the ground.
Other than that is friendly ride.

Yeah, I'd vote argyle sweater vests over dress shirts, but I'm guessing it'll probably be something more like skirts. (?)

Yeah, it's a very safe bet that the male dress code is going to be of a strong feminine nature. I believe the original intent is for this to be a girls-only ride, but someone decided to allow guys to ride along provided that they dress in a manner that reinfoces the female theme. This also provides humor for the female riders at the expense of the guys secure enough in their manhood to ride in a pink ballerina costume.

By "thrift stores" I assume you mean Neiman Marcus, or the Bridal Shop on Selby in St. Paul. We going to Grumpy's, after all.

It's the winters. While hibernating, we drink, er, think of ways to amuse ourselves when it warms up.
