Tire Size?

What is the best size tire for raod and trail touring? Thails are either paved or limestone screenings. Mine came with 700 32 Nokian touring. Seems like a lot of rubber on the ground if all road touring. Would 700 28 be a better choice?

28 is good for road touring . You can do some light trail riding on 28 but 32 is better. I prefer 32 for mixed use.
Manufacturers seem to have a pretty lose concept of 28mm . My Schwalbe Marathon 28 are 32 in all but name.
