How many miles in a day?
I just started riding fixed a few weeks ago and love it. I'm riding more and driving less. On the bike, I notice just how far things are from each other and the miles seem to rack up pretty quickly. I live in a mid sized city that is mastering the art of urban sprawl so everything is fairly spread out. For those of you who ride your bike everywhere or are messangers, how many miles do you usually ride in a day?
(This is not one of those 'let's see who can ride the most' threads. I'm just curious what's average.)

I usually just ride to work and back. That's about a 20 mile round-trip. If I go mountain biking too that day, that adds in about 7 or 8 miles.

Home to office is about 4 miles. Going to gym after work adds a mile. Thus, 8-10 miles on a typical day. I also try to get in a 25-30 mile exercise ride once or twice a week.

my commute is only 4 miles round trip, but i don't have a car. so if i need to run an errand i'll put in ten miles. a good weekend will find me doing a thirty mile ride or two.

13 miles round trip for commute to work. fun loop after work is 7-12 miles, and laps in the park will add 18 miles if I'm feeling up to it. Some days I don't ride but a few miles running errands and other I'll break 30. All depends on the day and how my knees are feeling.

I have a car, but I try not to drive it much unless I have a good reason; It's a fun challenge. Here are my four most common scenarios:
home -> office -> home = 10 miles
home -> office -> lunch -> office -> home = 15 miles
home -> school -> home = 14 miles
home -> office -> lunch -> school -> home = 30 miles
I usually throw in some extra miles here and there to run errands, get groceries, or just for fun. I've done a few 50 to 60 mile days recently, but they are not as common as the 30 to 35 mile days that I do the most.

As of late, I do about 35mi a day, depending on the day. Home to school is 10mi one way, school to work is 6mi, work back to school is another 6mi, then back home is another 10mi. Throw in lunch/errands/etc and it's about 35mi.
That's if I don't go to a bar, or something (sadly, everwhere worth going is another 10mi each way).

Most days 10-12. More on the weekend. Now that it's getting nice out, there are probably going to be a lot more days like yesterday, which ended up being 25...

Round trips:
3 miles for the office [raleigh 3 speed]
11 miles for the bike shop [Steam roller]
35 miles for the lake once a week [road bike]
makes my average week a bit over 100. That dosn't account for grocery shoping, bar hoping or late night "I can't fugin sleep" rides.

No commute, but I probably put down 4 miles of local errands 4 days a week, a 20 mile lap to the shop 1-2 times a week, and maybe 2 15 mile road blasts and then a 35miler. Say 100 miles a week, 1/3 of that fixed.

my commute alone puts me at 30 mile days, plus there's always something extra and I don't own a car. it's not out of the ordinary to rack up 45-55 mile days.

usually about 30 if Im just goofing around or have a few places to go around the city. 70 miles or more if I decide to play chase with a messenger buddy or decide to be out all day on a nice day.

about 2.5 miles each way to work. about 2 blocks to the bike shop. Yesterday we went to the polo fields in GG park and did a lot of laps. Probably put in another 10-15 including there and back. An average day is about 10-15 total I think.

15 miles round trip to work and back 5 days a week.
Sometimes I'll get in an extra 10-20 if I bug out a little early.
Weekend fixed rides usually range from 35-80 miles, 80+ miles on geared road bike.
I do a total of about 150-200 miles a week.
