Bike mod's. . .

bottle opener's have no place on a bike. thread is finished as far as i am concerned. I mean honestly, a bottle opener on a bike is as 'bout as cool as a t-shirt with the tasmanian devil on it. . .pretty much it is something, based on principle, in a word idiotic. . . .

Mais non! But what about the Surly tuggnut chain tensioner? That serves an actual purpose (tensioning your chain and keeping your rear wheel in place) besides conveniently doubling as a bottle opener.

If you're really hardcore about cycling, you'd get the MKS ones, since they're lighter.

what? come on. by an ounce or two? by YOUR criteria (light weight = hardcore) , i guess you must race on the track or are visiting from the roadie forum or something. do you have the lightest of everything (ahem)? i ride on streets on my oh-so-heavy surly steamroller that i love and which probably weighs only one or two pounds more than your bike, if that. i ride everywhere. and i love beer.

Didn't realize it was a joke. It's cool. It's one of those things that if you would have said it in person, I'd have realized you were being sarcastic, but on the internet...
By the way, I'm always uptight and grumpy on Monday mornings. My head feels like a u-lock hit it.

ha, yeah i do that **** all the time. seems like every time i seriously respond to what i thought was a serious argument, i'm COMPLETELY missing something. i blame seriousness.

EDIT: My friend Mark said that he saw the red ninja dog totally uppercut some kid just because the kid opened a window.

no no guys, you've got it all wrong, he's not chicago-straightedge-boston, he's chicago times boston, it's the new math, based overtly on geography. it's like if a train leaves new york headed to boston at 2 philadelphias per hour and another train leaves chicago at 3 washington d.c.'s per hour how many san diegos with they los angelos in order to equal seattle?

unfortunately, the nina dog's costumes were design by ostrichs, employing the same "if I can't see you, you can't see me" technique. This proved to be their fatal flaw.
