remove the spacers from the topout springs to get it to 100mm of tra

I am trying to convert my fork to 100mm from 80mm. It is a Marzocchi z.4 01'. Marzocchi says, "You will have to remove the spacers from the topout springs to get it to 100mm of travel." Can some one explain to me how to do this?

In your communication with Marzocchi, did anyone mention a service manual? You will need one before you dig into the fork. It will tell you if there are special tools involved, order of assembly of things, torque values of fasteners, etc.

It was an email and they said just remove the topout spacers and call if i have questions. I have downlaoded the manual of the fork but it doesnt give what you said. Also i dont want to have to call, im in a different country and the call would be very expencive.

Hmm, took a look at the manual. Not much in the way of what I would call "tech" info there, really, more of a user's manual. I expected more in the way of useful info for maintenance and service, not just how to adjust it.
Sorry I wasn't very helpful.
If you don't get a helpful response here, I would try again with Marzocchi and let them know calling isn't really practical and please offer step-by-step instructions for taking the fork apart.
