Thanks USAzorro I think you nailed it with the tipo hubs but why would they put these with an otherwise complete 1981 super record gruppo. What year might they be from?

not sure but they may have a year stamped on the inside of the locknut, but maybe only record had that. It's not record though, doesn't mean it's not nice!

looks like nuovo tipo to me - from 78 to the mid 80's. They may have trickled into the late 80's as the parts bins emptied out. The dated locknuts only belong to record hubs, I think. They are nice wheels, and often a racer would have nuovo tipo clinchers as the daily ride, and save the record wheels with sewups for race day.
