Dressing
What do you wear around camp after a long day in the saddle.
I want to find some pants that will keep me warm on cold nights temps in the 30-40's.I have looked at a lot of fleece but dont like what i have seen.I have a lot of base layer stuff but i need that mid layer that isnt to fleecy and is a little ruged.

Hmmmm.... why not sweatpants and a sweatshirt? Works for me, and you can wear your long underwear underneath if you need more warmth too. Get the sweatshirts that have the hats on them too.
Hey, if that doesn't work, I watched an episode on Seinfeld where George walked around wearing a velvet sweatsuit.... he said he felt good in it. Should help at keeping you somewhat warm, although you probably wouldn't look too sexually appealing....
I vote for the hooded sweatshirt with sweatpants and long underwear....

I've just worn my bike tights (I still use Kucharik wool tights) with a pair of Supplex nylon pants over that. I like to travel with the minimum of gear without shorting myself the essentials. I already have bike tights, so why carry an additional warm layer.
If the temperatures are dropping to the low 40s and the 30s, sounds like it's time to crawl into the tent and sleeping bag.
You must be aiming at some cold season touring.
