Shimano Light Action/Uniglide questions.

I considered trying these questions in the Bicycle Mechanics forum but they seem more pertinent here due to the age of the components. (and I always have good luck here) I have an 87 Centurion LeMans RS with Shimano Light Action shifters and derailers. What is the max cog the rear derailer can handle? The rear wheel is stock with original Shimano 6 speed freewheel.

On ebay I found: "Shimano 600 Ultegra 30t Cassette Cog New Old Stock" Item number: 7235488046.
The cog looks llike it's uniglide both in the teeth and the splines, but it says "cassette". What would the thickness of this cog be? Will it fit my stock Shimano 6 speed freewheel body or is it for a cassette?

Thanks,

Jered

At the moment my Miyata semi-cyclo/mutant hybreed is running a Light Action RD with a 13-30 freewheel without problems.
I can't answer your cog question.

Doesn't answer the cog question but it sure helps point me in the right direction. I'm currently running a 13-26T freewheel and wanted to see if I could go up to 30T. Now I just need to tear into the freewheel and see what the sline pattern looks like. Thanks for the info 1SG.

Ride on, troop!
FWIW, I have a HG 600 freewheel laying around with a 30 top gear. The ratchet has a crunchy spot for about 4 teeth, but the cogs are good. If you can't get what you need let me know, and we'll work something out.
