Wow, your stuipid.

He has 1 peice cranks, last I checked Animal doesnt make that size. Why would he replace the pegs, if you buy that bike you cant grind anyways because you would know better. Why better looking handle bars and not, I dunno, maybe RIMS that dont weigh a metric shattonne.

Oh god, here we go...

First, Animal pedals are only made in 9/16", one peice cranks need 1/2" pedals...
Mongoose bars suck, and i wouldnt put much into that bike, i would just start saving for a new one, becuase once he starts riding more, it will die, and by die i mean, not last.
And most beginners dont need pegs, since they cant bunnyhop, unless they are going to try to ride flat..

Riding that is a safety hazzard. You could get a way better used bike for that price.

Take off all the useless crap that adds weight. ie: Chain guard, reflectors, pegs and front brake if you dont use them. Also I don't really know if its worth it to you with a bike like that, but you can cut down your seat post, and bars if you want.

If you really want to keep it, I would upgrade to a 3 piece crank, and new pedals, bigger chain and new sprocket, and then after you snap your rims put some sun rims on it, and then after that, get a new bike.
