Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

definately go for it. i'm not sure how much money you want to sink into it, but i'd probably go for a rear aerohead wheel, cog, and lockring from iro right off the bat for ~$130. then again, i'd really like to see that with brown or white deep-v's

I know someone in Chicago that rides a fixed female frame. It's a Schwinn but it's nearly celeste colored.

Go for it I say.
