Stomach fullness
I can't eat a normal meal no more. Usually, I eat more than a meal, maybe like 1.5 of a normal serving. Now, I can't finish the last quarter of the meal or so. I think there is some problem with me. Any of you can offer suggestions? It happened only like after last Monday and have been like this ever since.
I really want to eat, I don't want to affect my health or my performance in sports. Someone please help me gain back my appetite!

The loss of appetite could be caused by any number of factors such as stress,depression or in the case of athletes overtraining.If its overtraining you will probably also notice difficulty sleeping and even flulike symptoms.If it is overtraining take it easy for awhile and you will eventually get over it in a few days.Have you noticed anything else different since you lost your appetite or recall an event around that time that might have precipitated it?In the meantime try to just eat more frequent smaller meals concentrating on easily digestable foods.

Could be that you no longer need to eat as much any more. It's not neccessarily a bad thing unless you are getting light headed from a lack of blood sugar. I wouldn't really worry about it. Like the post before mine it could be a number of things.

If you are losing weight that you can't afford to lose (less than 5% BF) then try eating more then just 3 meals per day, i.e., eat something between the three major meals, like a turkey sandwich or a power bar. Thats what some of my extremly skinney friends do on my cross-sountry (running) team because they were getting REALLY skinny and it was messing up their performance.

Oxologic, are you experiencing just a loss of appetite? Do you get a bloated feeling in your stomach that makes eating unpleasant?

Hi,
1)If symptoms persist, see a doctor
2)Ever hear of glycogen replacement? Immediately(notice the word immediately)after exercising eat something. You want starch and a little protein, the glycogen window lasts no more than 20 minutes after you stop exercising.
3)Check your pulse in the morning, first thing, write it down. This will give you a baseline, higher can mean overtraining.
4) Do an internet search on overtraining, if you have any of the other symptoms, take a couple days off.

It is like hard to swallow my food because my stomach doesn't allow it. It would make me vomit if I want to eat more. I think it is also overtraining but the very minor one. Those that causes overcompensation. A few days of rest should be fine.
