It was posted earlier yesterday as well. Good info to have, thanks. There is a link with a more detailed description of the problem(~4 page pdf) and affected hubs about 7 or 8 posts down.
Gotta replace mine too.

While on topic, could someone explain the difference between the Shimano M756, M760, and M765 hubs?
Edit:I found my answer:
M756 is a disc brake hub, iso standard; the M760 is a non-disc hub; the M765 is a disc brake hub, center-lock type.

Please note above that Shimano's recall is voluntary in conjunction with the CPSC. Doesn't appear to me as though it was a forced recall. These things are hugely expensive for any/every company to deal with.

Same thing happened with the Trigger shifters from SRAM. There were a lot of problem with the first batch, but they seem to have it all worked out now, and I love my X0's. Given the track record, I will probably give their new road components a miss for the first year and give them a go on year 2.
