Hi All
Just logged as new member age 55 and going cycling again after a few years away.Bought myself a new bike recently(last new machine was acquired 1963 via a paper round which paid £1 and something per week.I have been digging around in my former playground(Dads shed) and unearthed one of my old time trial set ups. It is a sturmey archer 3 speed asc hub(fixed).A friend of mine has placed this on ebay for me as I am quite financially embarassed at the moment.Would love to hear from any other old gits about cycling memories.Ps.From the age of 12 I was a fully paid up member of the cyclists touring club uk.CTC. Best wishes BARPED55

Welcome to BF.
"Old gits"??? None of those around here. I'm 61 and cycling keeps me young.

What part of UK are you in? I used to live in S Devon and Bristol. I am going to Uk later this month but dont expect to do much cycling except pulling my grand daughter in a trailer around the Greenwich/Bromley area.
