I remember watching Jai Alai from TJ on UHF ch 14 or 28 on Sundays at dinner time. That was pretty cool. And roller derby Sunday nights on KCOP. Swim meets are exciting. Dressage is rather thrilling. Co-rec corporate league softball games are especially fun to watch when somebody named Tiffiny starts to cry after she falls down.
But what I like most of all is all the commentary and editorializing about sports. Is Lance filthy? How about Bonds? Would the guys on UFC still fight if they weren't paid or on TV? Its a shame I dont have Hi-Def!

The only sport I watch is football. I have been glued to the tv for three weeks now watching the World Cup.

I tried American style football a couple of times but can only last three or four minutes. zzzzzzzzz

Other than that, the tv is usually in the O-F-F position.

And how about "Roaring Wheels" on KHJ channel 9? With Stan Richards, I think?

None. I was one of those unfortunates born double recessive for the Sports Gene. Not a trace!

The silver lining for us double recessives is that come NFL season, the trails are all ours!!

I don't watch much lately, but for me spectator sports ended after the World Series and didn't pick back up until Spring Training.

+1. Besides cycling, baseball is about it for me.

I watch football after Thanksgiving, but only if there's an interesting story line in the season...a cinderella team, or whatever. Superbowl Sunday is my favorite day of the year. Everything is empty! The world is mine, I tell you!

F1 is good, but hard to see live in the States, due to the time difference. Nascar is a bore to me.

Speaking of cycling on TV, have you ever noticed that Paul Sherwin begins every comment he makes during a race by repeating the last sentance that Phil Ligget just said? Seriously! Check it out when the Tour starts next week!

Phil: "My goodness, Hincapie was certainly showing good form in the spring classics."

Paul: "Hincapie was showing good form in the spinrg classics, but he's 16 minutes in the arears now..."

Phil: "This is usually the warmest part of France during this time of year..."

Paul: "Usually the warmest part of France during this time of year, but great conditions today."

If I watch any sports it's the NFL and only if the Bronco's are one of the teams playing (born in CO).
Sometimes I'll watch figure skating with my wife or maybe the Olympics. I kind of like the weigh lifting.

Baseball, because you don't really have to pay attention and can do other things at the same time.

Used to be F1 but the rule changes over the past few years mean that for me it is now ruined. It is supposed to be the Ultimate Motor sport, but the rule for the last couple of seasons about NO tyre changes meant that the drivers could not afford to push the Car to the limit as the tyres would not make it. The still current rule about one engine having to do two races means that you cannot push the engines. Then the Timed practice- This year has got something sensible and I think is probably the best it has ever been. Problem is that the limitations placed on preserving machinery no longer delivers the ultimate sport. Then any form of motor sport no longer has the same fascination for me. EXCEPT Moto GP. Here is a sport on a vehicle that I am not interested in- Motorbikes but the racing is fantastic. Can't overtake in an F1 car- Watch Moto GP for all aspects of racing coming to the fore.

Superbike racing. Just beautiful. Poetry in Motion. But I don't care who wins, I just like the line and form.

I played a lot of baseball as a kid and as a young man. That was back when the uniforms were made of wool and were always 9 sizes too big.

I still like the game and like to watch the Cleveland Indians on TV. I tend to watch more baseball if the Indians are having a good season, so this season I'm almost TV free.

Watching football or basketball is quite rare for me, although it's easy to get caught up in the Caviliers with LeBron James and the playoffs and all the hype.

My wife is a graduate of the same high school that LeBron played for when he was building his fame. She watches far more basketball than I do.

Football... the kind with a round ball.

Still recovering from the Dutch loss to Portugal today, alas. And hoping my boys from Spain are gonna open a can of whup-derriere on Les Bleus on Tuesday!

Hockey, hands down. I grew up thinking Dan Kelly was the best announcer I ever heard, but I don't know who wouldn't become a hockey fan listening to/watching Mike Emmrick calling games. I'd love to hear him call a sprint in the Tour de France!

I also can't live without bass fishing on OLN on Sunday ams or World's Strongest Man. Lawn mower racing. Sitting in a smokey sports bar staring at a 19" color TV mounted on the wall, watching $1000 claimers from some dust bowl 5 furlong track run for the third time that week, racing for a $500 purse. THAT'S good stuff.
