Where Else Do You Hang Out on the Net?
I know (of course) that we're all Bike Forum addicts, but I'm wondering, where else to 50+ types hang out on the net? Quite honestly, I tried a few photography boards and got tired of the flame wars, so Bike Forums is pretty much my only regular net site.

BikeJournal.com (very friendly)
I occasionally post on USENET rec.bicycles.misc, but you need a fire extinguisher to survive. Some nice folks, but filled with trolls.
A couple of atrial fibrillation sites (very nice folks - absolutely no flames)
One Trigeminal Neuralgia BB - nice folks in EXTREME PAIN, as I used to be.
I own and operate/moderate a closed membership forum for parents of adults with disabilities in Colorado (very small).
I used to operate a forum called "Senior Fitness." It is still around, but inactive mostly. For awhile we had some nationally ranked senior athletes. It was for the more advanced senior fitness types, not "lift ten pound weights and walk a mile a day" fitness.
I moderate and own actively "Bicycle Trainer Support" which has grown nicely to 153 members.
I occasionally visit "Supertraining" a "scholarly" and somewhat pedantic large group of trainers, professors and the like in the training area. It is moderated and everyone treats each other most "gentlemanly" like in the United States Senate.
American Council on Exercise - about 1 post a day to read there!
I used to visit Alt.sports.weightlifting, but it has mostly died and is filled with spam.
I belong to a group - Medical-DD which is for those involved in medical care for individuals with developmental disabilities. I am the rogue parent, offering the non-medical reality to the ivory towers.

Besides here, I sometimes frequent www.bikejournal.com but find their forums unwieldy.
As a bent owner, my main forum is www.bentrideronline.com
I also go to www.recumbents.com
As a Linux user, I also hang out at a couple of Suse Linux forums
Lastly, though I rarely shoot any more, I also visit glocktalk.com a couple of times a week

www.laspilitas.com Incredible selection of California and California tolerant plants, Whole chapters and subsections about land rehab and gardening with natives. Even a program where you feed in parameters and it suggests plants. A page and more about each plant well cross referenced.

Almost nowhere, I'm afraid... not enough hours in the day. During major bike races I will confess to keeping the live updates from cyclingnews.com or velonews.com open on my desktop, so I can follow what's happening. And I've gotta figure that the net impact of that on my usefulness is negative. But hey, you have to enjoy life a little bit.

e-Bay. I buy most of my parts there & unload the stuff I'm not using or don't need. This "buy-used, sell-spares" model keeps the total cost of my bicycle addiction under control.

Other than poring over the NYTimes every day, my high school class of '72 has put together a good web site. I check that and have tracked down numerous old friends with whom it has been fun to reconnect. For daily Internet though it is here at Bikeforums!

My mistake on OLN. I thought it was on the net but it was on cable TV.
I also watch cycling.tv on the internet. I find it motivating to watch racing. I don't see
myself racing at this point. I'm to cautious and slow of course.
