Work's over (I did an hour this morning,) shopping's done, presents wrapped, beer and wine drunk (actually still working on that one) and the cat feeder's been booked for Christmas day.

Merry Christmas everyone! Give it heaps (food and wine) and ride if you can find the time and inclination.

You're a glutton for punishment, then! I reckon the shops are going to be absolutely impossible this weekend.

Fortunately, I spent all day yesterday taking care of Christmas shopping (including food) so can now relax....maybe.

Relaxation starts on Boxing Day. Tomorrow is the missus' birthday; Christmas Eve - visiting friends and head out of town to the in-laws; Christmas Day has been organised by the various chooks with military precision, and I can only hope the combative brothers' in-law don't drink enough to lose their inhibitions; Boxing Day - hit the surf and come home (in either order).

Followed by 12 days of surf, riding, gardening, reading, walking, drinking, eating and one day waving a marshal's flag for the Tauranga Half Ironman.

You left out "spend x hours trying to find parking space" - that kind of puts a kink in the military precision.

Merry Christmas to you too!

Ah yes, never put your handbrake on when parking in Paris - it really mucks up the "bump your way back and forth out of this parking spot" routine.

I know he's been renovating and I know he's been busy trying to finish a bunch of frames before Christmas. He hasn't been too active on the forums in recent times.

And, of course as Nev pointed out he has been busy with - ummm - other activities.

Today is the first time in three days I've been sober. It feels odd. Reality sucks.

Mmmmm, Lindt. Those Belgians know how to make chocolate (oh and cyclists!)

We've started into our Christmas choccie selection. I expect weird dreams for a while.

I know a few people who've gorn back to normal tooth brushes, but I reckon electric brushes
are the best thing since stretch denim (I'll keep using that gag till I get enough laughs -- I've only had one)

Like Jerry said when he brang an electric brush for Elaine: "they're not just better, they're like TEN TIMES better!!"

Too much red wine = black poo.

Lovely.

There used to be a Jamaican/Creole restaurant in Carlton, which I went to once with some friends. My mate ate the spiciest thing on the menu, smothered in hot sauce. It was that hot he drank 6 stubbies with the meal (doesn't normally drink beer) and had to have a cold shower the next morning to cool down his bunghole.
