"Coolest" Helmet
After watching the Tour for the past three weeks and seeing the dozens of different helmets used by the pro's I'm looking for your opinions on the single "coolest" helmet, combining both comfort and style, and regardless of price.

OK, that's 39 hits and no replies. Allow me to speculate...is it the Bell Ghisallo, Bell Sweep, Specialized Decibel, etc, etc, etc?

My Serfas helmet was the coolest. It died so that I might live.

Hi,
I have a Ghisallo and love it. However, most people fit
either Bell or Giro. So find a good one that fits.

Went to the LBS today and tried on the Giro Atmos, Specialized Decibel, and Bell Ghisallo and Sweep R.
I liked the Sweep R the best for both fit and style so I ordered one in Blue/Silver.
Should have it by the weekend.

That new Giro Ionos looked very classy on Phonak, Discovery, and Rabobank in the Tour.
That said, I think Giro is pricing them well over $225 US when they go on sale....

The new Giro.
It's hard to lose any time there is silver carbon fibre involved.
Edit: There were actually Atmos on sale for reduced $$$ at my LBS, but they didn't fit my head that well. Bummer.

The old "hairnet" style were pretty cool--until you actually crashed. These get my vote: https://www.limar.com/

The coolest helmet is one you have on your head.
Wear your brainbucket, if you do, you are cool
For the record, I wear and Atmos.

I like my Specialized Decibel, but the main reason I bought it is for fit. Giros, Bells, and most other brands' size mediums go up to 59 cm or less. My head circumference is just a hair over that, so the mediums are a bit too tight and the larges feel too big, even when tightened down. The Specialized had that extra centimeter that worked great for me.
Also, the Specialized is way cooler than my previous Bell. Temperature-wise, I mean. The Decibel's venting is awesome. I'm a huge ball of sweat after mountain bike rides in the high temps and high humidity we've been having. Now, with the Decibel, I'm a huge ball of sweat with perfectly dry hair on the top of my head.

The most expensive one of course.
I can sell you my $25 helmet for $300. It would be the coolest ever!
The atmos and the sweap look pretty cool.
Personally, I would rather go with a mid priced road helmet like the furio. In fact, that is what I will be purchasing next month.

Anything that makes your cranium look like a muffin.
Unfortunately you're asking a "style" question, which is sure to evoke a number of responses in various forms of disagreement.
Personally, I think that all of the helmets you mentioned are "cool." I also like the Bell Metro if you're looking for a more understated "commuter" sort of look...and I have a Serfas Cosmos 'cause it was in the color I wanted at the bike shop, in my size, when I bought my first bike.

I like the Giro Atmos... is it the coolest helmet? I don't know. But it sure beats the looks of my old stinky $20 Bell
