So a good friend of mine doesn't (didn't) have a bike... Had a girlfriend with a bike, but it wasn't tuned up and they never listened to me when I suggested they get it fixed. They have a car and always offer me rides back home when we're hanging out late, never seeming to get that "I have my vehicle with me already".

Well, last week we were chilling at my place one night and his GF takes the car home. Later that night, not having a car to drive home, not having any cash for a cab, he's wondering how he can get home. I lend him one of my bikes to ride back the 4 or 5 miles on a perfect night for a nice ride.

Anyway, the next day I get a voice message and it's him, saying "guess who's the proud owner of a new bike?!?"

He enjoyed the ride so much that he got the gf's bike fixed, and bought himself one as well. I was pretty psyched, and now I've got even more cronies to ride around with...

Great! That is always a pleasant surprise. In my )previous) office I had a few guys who would bust on me for riding into work everyday. After a few months of seeing me, one of my co-workers starting doing the same. We even went on rides after work together. I felt good knowing that I had gottne him motivated to get out and ride.

Kudos to you.

Cheers,

Brian
