Midwest bent rally in Stevens Point, WI

Is anyone here going to bent rally at the Hostel Shoppe on Aug 4, 5 and 6? I am. Just curious if anyone else is.

I'll be there. I'm taking my Volae and my upright tandem.

I was there a few days ago, but can't make it this weekend because of the start of another ride. I'll get there next year for sure! I was very impressed with the Hostel Shoppe itself and their employees.

Bent Rally

There are a few of us going from the South Side of Chicago. Bad, Bad Leroy Brown is not one.
Just can't make up my mind - TE or trike? Trike or TE? Wish I could take both, trike and lwb won't fit on the back of the Jag. Pity, that!

I loaded the car tonight because we're leaving in the morning. We are going to get a couple extra days in riding in the western part of the state before the rally. The back of my van has my highracer, my wife's Trek 5200, and my Santana tandem. We're ready for anything! See you there!

My trike is already at the Hostel Shoppe. I had to take it in for some adjustments after I rolled it a few weeks back. Nothing really serious, just some things that are bugging me. I was hoping that they could do it today, but they just couldn't. Now I'm trikeless.
I haven't ridden my EZ Sport this year. But its already been two days since I've last ridden and I just don't think I can stand it anymore. So out the EZ Sport comes tomorrow. Oh well, my Road should be ready by Friday, so I'll have it this weekend. I'll be the one with the chrome look rear fender.

It was great. Very well organized and executed. When the Friday ride started it was really something to see with the bents going down the road in a string over a half mile long. The police at the busy intersections to stop traffic for us was awesome!
360 days sure seems like a long time though. I'll be looking forward to next years.

A Suggestion for 2007 HS Recumbent Rally

What is needed is a ride/tour to the Point Brewery. If we all limit ourselves to one or two Specials, the ride back shouldn't be that bad. On secont thought, maybe it should be limited just to trikes, so balance won't be an issue. Just kidding. Or - am I?

Tailwinds and long downhills,

I was wishing we were there, but had already committed to another ride in ND. See you next year, though.

My wife says that this guy on the Volae looks vaguely familiar:

I got into a couple of pics too. My wife noticed me too. The thing she noticed is my white t-shirt that I wear riding. It certainly wasn't a closeup like that great picture of you.

Hwy Trsnrtr - what is that guy next to you wearing on his helmet? Is it some kind of sunshade? Almost looks like a tinted grinding hood or something.
And how do you like the Volae?

That guy is Skymax from Australia. As far as I know, it's just some sort of visor. You can contact him on Benrideronline if you're really curious.

As to the Volae, I'm riding an older Team model. It's my everyday bike that I've had for three years now, so I guess I like it fine.
