What do u think if this bike?

I found a bike from canadian tire, the Raleigh Tomahawk 2005. Wondering if it is a good price for $200 canadian (tax included).

well, the bike people here aren't going to like that you're getting a bike from there rather tahn a bike shop, which are longer-lasting, use quality components worth repairing, etc etc etc, but there must be some sort of budget reason everyone will be constrained to...

that aside, it looks like a pretty good component set for the money, 200 and you get an aluminum frame with an rst fork and trigger shifters, a tourney is pretty much the only derailleur you can get at that price point.

it's a pretty good recreational bike.

The price is good, but it is a disposable bike that won't hold up to much. I think it would be better buying a used bike if you can find one that is in good shape. If that is all the dough you can justify spending, and don't have the time or knowledge to find something better, then it is a nice bike!! As others have mentioned, local bike stores sell a better range of stuff, and offer service.

only if you're a recreational rider. as in not hitting the dirt jumps every day. just riding around the neighbourhood, light and smoothish trails... not like it'll fall apart if you go off a curb, but it's not going to take much abuse over time.
